What is a Life Stressor?

Sometimes life can feel so overwhelming. Life stressors are challenges you may face such as difficult relationships, hassles at work, feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem, communication issues, or painful life changes and transitions to name a few. You may be dealing with much more than one issue and feeling entirely “stressed out.”

When life does feel overwhelming, it’s normal for sadness, fear, loneliness, despair, frustration, disappointment, guilt, plus a host of other unwelcome visitors to come to call. Depression and anxiety are never far away. We can become so entangled with our thoughts and feelings that they begin to dominate our lives. Whatever the case, if you are reading this you likely feel stuck, and are not coping as well as you would like to be.

Life stressors need not dominate you and painful challenges need not go on indefinitely.
